About Koh Lan
Koh Larn AKA Ko Lan or Pattaya Coral Island is the is a largest island located in the near island cluster, just south of Koh Sak.
The Northern facing side of Koh Lan is mainly dominated by tourist speed boat and ferry’s although the Northern East tip is largely quite and has nice sites such as Hin Deng Nok.
The Southern Side of the islands hosts Had Nuan, South Point and Leam Tong coral dive sites and offers shelter and shallow reef areas suitable for all diver levels.
Depth range of the reef is 3–18 meters. Turtles, Sting rays and Seahorse are common around this dive area. More Experienced divers can enjoy deep reefs and deep drift dives around here also.
In the bay at the southern most point of the island is a breakwater and a small concrete building lays just below the surface (The sunken restaurant), about 50m (150 ft) from this platform are large concrete rings under the water. These rings are covered in soft corals and fans, many reef fish have made the rings their home. The reef getting a little deeper as it rounds the south west headland, it will continue north until reaching the next bay. You will find a few very large coral bommies along this stretch of coast line
