About The Kut Wreck
HTMS Kut or The Khood is a WW2 Shipwreck located in the near island cluster, just South of Koh Sak. It was sank in 2006 by the Royal Thai navy to make an artificial dive site for wreck diving in Pattaya.
This ship was prepared by the Thai Navy as a dive site and all armaments, oil and most hazards to divers were removed. Large openings were strategically cut in parts of the ship and penetration dives through the ships passageways rarely takes the diver out of the natural light zone.
The Kut shipwreck is positioned sitting perfectly upright on her hull at a depth of 30m on the sand and 26m at her deck level. The Ships mast and upper conning tower areas extend up from the ships deck between 22m and 14m.
HTMS Kut is available to Advanced open water divers or Open Water Divers taking a Deep Adventure dives with an Instructor. The Khood Wreck is a haven for many aquatic residents who are thriving here after more than a decade underwater. Large schools of Barracuda, rabbit fish and Yellow snapper swarm around like fish soup! Larger fish like giant starry puffers or Giant Grouper can be found here regularly.
